There is also free butterbeer for everyone and there are rumors going around that people are also bringing cookies :o Join the fun! When? February 11th, 9 pm HOL time (4 pm EST). Where? On irc, the #gryffhousemeeting channel.
For the House Meeting Rules of Conduct, click here. For more information on how to connect to irc, you can check out the handbook here.

Grab some chicken fingers and enjoy, for the GQT has beaten the Ravenclaw Quidditch Team 90 to 60! The outcome of the game was decided by the quick capture of the snitch by Seeker Jenny Lupin, who also received her second MVP as a result of her amazing display of skills! \o/
Keep the food coming up the good work, GQT! *\o/*

4. The Quadwizard Tournament
------------------------------------------
You've probably all heard by now about the famous Quadwizard Tournament. Are you wondering who the Gryffindor possible champions are? None other than Brenna Westfeld, Missa Matz and Zenix James!
The first House Selection Challenge was due on February 8th. Let us cheer on all three of them and may the best man (well, woman, actually) win!

5. January Awards
------------------------------------------
With the first term just recently coming to an end, what better time to award The Platinum Quill Award! This student has not only reached the absolutely insane mark of 2500+ points in a single term, but has done it quite impressively with full points on just about everything. In addition to classwork, she's also been a dedicated assistant to several classes, participated in a few HOL contests, and just happens to run her own class. Where does she find the time? Anyway! Congratulations to Missa Matz for her amazing first term (which I'm sure will continue this term) and on her new and very shiny award!

6. The Music Talk Forum
------------------------------------------
We at the OP love music. We're sure this goes for all Gryffindors, but we have a special love for wizard rock. Word has it that SPD Queen of doom Destiny got so sick of this genre that she threw a steel envelope at our door! But that's just a rumor...
Professor Ruben Orion is heading the new Gryffindor Music Talk Board! A place for Gryffindors to discuss soundtracks, artists and really anything related to music (but keep it g-rated), this subset of the Cozy Corner is already alive with activity. Come join us and talk about songs your're obsessed with. One prefect in particular loves "Baby One More Time," but you didn't hear it from us!

7. Book Club Update
------------------------------------------
Book Seven comes out this year!!! SQUEE!!!! In celebration and preparation for this happy event, the Gryffindor Book Club announces a Journey Through the Memories theme for the rest of the school year. Come join us as we read each book of the series, talking about how it was reading them for the first time and how things may have changed now that we know new information. We'll be starting with book 1 quite shortly, so go find your copy and dust it off!
