1. New Term

It’s the second term of this HOL school year! Rejoice! More chances to earn points and bring Gryffindor up from the *groans* last position (at the moment, mind you *cough*or else*cough*).

For older Gryffs, keep up the good work (or make it even better, we don’t mind)! We hope you had fun and made friends and will keep doing so. For new Gryffs, do a good job by earning points (we like that. A lot *nods*), have fun and make friends! And for everyone, be a proud Gryffindor and do your best in everything *\o/*

2. Class Sign-Ups

Class sign-ups for the second term are open. Just go here, and click the "Sign up for more classes" link. There should be one, unless you are not logged in, in which case, you should *g*

Of course, we highly recommend classes taught by Gryffindor professors, such as Advanced Defense Against the Dark Arts, Around the World: A Study of Geography, Astronomy for Beginners, CLUE, Defense Against the Dark Arts, History of Magic, HOL Quidditch, Lycanthropy, and Magical and Mystical Travel.

Remember that you must earn at least 2 Quills in order to pass the year, so pick your classes and manage your time carefully. And whatever you choose, enjoy!

3. February Den Challenge

We hope you took part in this den challenge, as it is a great opportunity to relive all the nice memories you made in the first term along with other members from your den. There is nothing more torture inspiring heart warming than a den’s term book ^.^ The deadline is a week away, so hurry :D More details here.

4. December Den Challenge Winners

No false alarm this time, the results have been announced quite a while ago, over here. The Paranoid Panthers snatched the first place, having 1 vote more than the Lunatic Leopards. Tough competition, eh? Your submissions were muchly loved and appreciated! Keep that creativity going \o\/o/

5. Point Earning Opportunities
------------------------------------------
a) Do you homework. Duh. Worth lots of points and cheesecake. Check your classes’ details for deadlines and other... well, details.
b) The "Getting Into Harry Potter" story. Worth 10 points, can be done at any time, but only once.
c) The Trading Cards. Worth 10 points, no deadline either, you get points only once.
d) The A Twisted Fairy Tale" project. Worth up to 30 points *gasp*, deadline March 1st.

Seize the chance and grab those points! Please read the rules carefully before submitting, though. Not following the rules will most likely get you less points or simply an invalid submission, and that would be a shame. So the rules are the law *nods*
