Wow, sorry that this is so late! We seems to have had a mass explosion in the Owl Post department and the staff is still recovering! So, instead of calling this January's Owl Post, which is what it's supposed to be, we'll call it February's Owl Post instead. This time it is brought to you by the number 13, the letter M and Prof. Missa Matz, so expect it to be boring.

2. New Term, New Members

Well it's another new term and with that we have new students wandering around HOL and the Gryffindor Common Room. Please greet them with kindness, help them make their way through HOL, and encourage them to be active. The best way to do so is to be active yourself. If you don't, I might eat you.

3. Den Assignments
------------------------------------------
As always, validation for the Common Room means more den sortings. For those new students who are unsure of where their den is, whenever you are sorted I come up with a new den list. You can find the den list in the Announcements section of the Common Room.

We're in last, like usual. Hopefully with some new students we'll be able to bounce back. Which leads directly into our next topic.

6. Class Signups

It's class signups time. I know that HOL Quidditch is accepting new students, but you can find a list of open classes that are accepting students, here. Remember, don't sign up for more than you can do, and that you cannot take more than 5 classes a term!

7. Paw Print

The Paw Print came out with a new issue on January 12th and it is located, here. Also in news for the Paw Print, they are currently hiring new staff. If you are interested in being a writer for Paw Print (and thus earning points), please see this topic.

8. December Awards
------------------------------------------
The Gryffindor Awards Committee has finally announced the December Award winners. Congratulations to Ronja Liek for receiving the Phoenix Award for her innovation within the house and her den. Also, congratulations to Castora Grimsby for receiving the Platinum Quill Award for her dedication to earning points and going about and being to contribute to HOL and Gryffindor!

9. House Meeting

ANYWAY. Second Sunday of the month. We know what that means! HOUSE MEETING!

WHEN: Sunday, 4pm EST (9PM HOL)
As always, we will have a good few rounds of hangman beforehand and this is something you do not want to miss out on. I don't even play and it's, probably, close to the highlight of my month.
But yes, if you want to play hangman, be in #gryffhousemeeting 45 minutes before the meeting and we shall HANG SOME MEN. Er...Yes. Metaphorically.

Well, that brings us to the end of another lovely Owl Post. Hopefully we'll have another one later in the month, but if not, expect one in March! And it'd be best to hope that the Owl Post staff recovers and I don't have to do this again, coz really, I have no imagination.
