In addition, there was also the Easter Den Challenge. This was an actual tie for first between The BB and GG dens. Way to go! Nice effort getting the tasks completed. There were also individual winners, so please check the forum in the link I posted above to congratulate the winners!

4. Points Opportunities
------------------------------------------
The actual thread in the common room hasn't been updated since April 6th, so this may be missing some things. There are some new art and library projects located on the main HOL boards. I believe the library project right now is to write an Ode to your Head of House. So you can earn points by writing lovely (or not so lovely) things about me! You can also contribute to other houses newspapers, and of course, always submit for Prose and Cons in the Gryffindor paper. And of course, as always, your classwork.
The HOL year is almost over, let's all make one last drive to get those points!

5. House Cup Standings
------------------------------------------
As usual, Gryffindor is in last place in the race for the House Cup. With HOL's school year officially ending on July 13th, it doesn't look like we'll get much more done this year. But still, great effort had by all, and hopefully we'll do better next year!

6. January Den Challenge -- Results
------------------------------------------
If you can actually remember back to then, you have a better memory than I do! January was a Resolutions Den Challenge. The exact theme was:
This month the SPD is challenging you to come up with 25 New Year's Resolutions that the characters from the Harry Potter books would have or should have made. In addition to this, we are requiring a picture or story (or something creative, at least) for each resolution about how the character broke their resolution.
It was broken down into individual winners in each den, as well as the competition between the dens. Since there were a lot of links and pictures involved, please see this post for more details.

7. February Den Challenge -- Results
------------------------------------------
Ah this was a round robin type of den challenge. The object was to create a story about Gryffindor reliving the same day over and over. More information can be found here. It seemed like an interesting challenge, but perhaps it was a bit too difficult? Unfortunately, not a single one of the dens were able to complete this challenge, so the winners are based on the end results, not the completed challenge. In first place were the Burgundy Butterbeer Den, second place was the Garnet Gillwater Den and third place was the Fuchsia Firewhiskey Den.

8. March Den Challenge -- Results
------------------------------------------
March's Den Challenge was a beast, to put it nicely. We had decent competition between the dens for this challenge, but it was hard! It was a multipart den challenge that involved creating things, destroying thinigs, and of course, a huge snowball fight. You can get the details of the challenge (and believe me, there are a lot of them) in this topic. In the end the winners were as follows: First place goes to the Burgundy Butterbeer den. Second place to the Garnet Gillywater Den, and third place to the Fuchsia Firewhiskey den.

9. May Den Challenge -- Battleship!
------------------------------------------
Just like Gryffindor has special months for certain challenges (Gryfftoberfest, Easter, that kind of thing), every May we also hold a Battleship competition between the dens! This year's competition is already under way. This is an intense den challenge where basically luck and strategy will get you to win. The first post about this is a detailed post, explaining the basic rules. It is located here. However, to keep track of how your den is doing in comparison to the other dens please check this thread which gets updated daily and has every single rule of the game in it. So, go to your dens and help participate!

10. New GQT Co-Captain
------------------------------------------
As posted by Zenix James (and yes, I just copied the post, deal):
Sadly, though, our very own Barbara Phoenix has decided to step down from her position as GQT co-captain. We are going to miss her so much, especially me, but, thankfully, we do have a new co-captain who I know is going to be AWESOME.
So, everyone, please give a big Gryffindor roar for KADINA TIGANO the Gryffindor Quidditch Team's new co-captain! I'll try to be easy on her; maybe she can keep a bit of her soul before I devour it.

11. Bye!

That concludes this month's edition of Owl Post. There may or may not be another post this month (probably not), so makek sure you keep up on all things Gryffindor by checking the common room frequently!
