1. 1. Welcome

Welcome to the last Owl Post of the 2008/2009 school year! We have a lot of stuff to cover, so hold onto your hats!

2. July House Meeting (will be on July 5th)
------------------------------------------
Since the house meetings have pretty much disappeared over the last 2 months, your Head of House, Prof. Missa Matz has taken the only Sunday available off work to make sure your last meeting of the year actually happens! (Yes, that means she will be there, and hopes you all will too!)
It is a week early, but after the last 2 months, hopefully no one will mind, since you will *finally* be getting an update!
Where: #gryffhousemeeting
When: Sunday, July 5th at 4pm EST (9pm HOL)
Why: Because we have cookies and FIREWORKS and HANGMAN!
According to Zenix James, there will be hangman, but if she doesn't show up, don't expect it to happen!

Also of importance! If you've missed a house meeting over the last year, or have misplaced an Owl Post, they have all been added to the Gryffindor website at http://gryff.net/

3. House Cup Standings
------------------------------------------ It looks like once again Gryffindor will fall last in the house cup standings. Never fear though! Over the course of the summer your prefects will be working on different ideas in order to get the house more active when it comes to earning points!

4. Battleship Results
------------------------------------------
The results are in! In third place is the Gillywater den! In second place is the Firewhiskey den! And in first place is the Butterbeer den! Unfortunately, the challenge has already been removed from prying eyes, due to the extremely cluttered common room. Great job to all who participated.

5. GSC (Gryffindor Summer Camp)
------------------------------------------
With the closure of the dens, it is time for Gryffindor's annual summer camp! This year's theme is Battle of the Elements. Prefects Kadina Tigano and Zenix James will be the ones coordinating this event. Leaders have already been chosen to run each individual area. Check the announcements for more information.

In order to be sorted and participate it is important for each Gryffindor to follow this link! Please make sure to read all the instructions and follow them properly!

6. Resurrecting GLiB (Gryffindor Library)

After an intense application process we finally have a staff to once again run the Gryffindor Library! Please welcome the following members:

Book Club Leader:

Currently the library part of the forum is closed so that it can be cleaned up, new topics posted, and be ready for posting hopefully before the start of term!

Yes, it is the annual End of Year Awards in Gryffindor! As per the end of every year, feel free to post awards to your friends in Gryff, whether they be silly, heartfelt, or whatever. The more the merrier. Just head on over to this thread in order to make your posts! The deadline has been extended!

Term ends in just a few weeks, so make sure you are checking your classes, and have completed your exams to make sure you pass onto the next HOL year. Remember, there is no summer school!
