Story Challenge

I stared in disbelief, my jaw hanging open and my eyes wide. If ever there was a time when I wished I had a camera, this was one of them. Sure, he was only a famous Muggle, but still, it was hard to resist gushing over this particular Muggle. I sat outside at a small café underneath a multi-colored umbrella, sipping my grande café latte. There were people all around at other tables and no one seemed to notice Shane West walking down the street across from the café. I couldn’t believe it – my celebrity crush was on a few short yards from me. Being bold, I stood up and left my coffee, crossing the street and being careful to avoid traffic. He was in front of me, maybe 10 feet. I walked quicker and finally was within arm’s length. I tapped his shoulder and he turned around to face me.

His Hollywood good looks threw me off balance for only a moment. “I’m sorry to bother you, but it’s not every day I see a celebrity. I just wanted to say hello and I really love your work.” I felt myself blush under his piercing gaze. He seemed to take a moment to register what I said. I felt my eyes wander away from his, looking down at my feet.

“Well thank you,” he chuckled humbly. I smiled at him in adoration.

“Are you busy right now? Would you like to have a cup of coffee with me? I’m at the café across the street and they make wonderful lattes.” It was a long shot, I knew, but I thought I might as well offer out of politeness.

He pondered for a moment. “You know, coffee would be great. I’ve got about 20 minutes until I have to meet my friend. Where were you sitting?” I pointed, amazed at my luck.

We walked together and sat at the table I had just abandoned, my latte still half-empty. From some miracle, I was sitting at this small café with Shane West, my celebrity crush. Those 20 minutes I made sure to talk about neutral topics without drawing attention to questions I knew I wanted to ask. I felt that he just needed a fan who didn’t pry into his job or personal life, so we chatted about upcoming movies, TV shows we both liked (turns out we both enjoy 24), and some restaurants on this side of town that we both recommened to each other.

At the end of those 20 minutes, he stood up. “Well, it’s time for me to meet my friend. It was really nice to meet you Nikki, and thanks for being a sweetheart.” He smiled at me. I stood up too, flinging my purse on my shoulder.

“Thanks for actually taking the time to talk with me for a bit, I really appreciate your time. I know you must have a busy schedule.” I returned the smile. He extended his hand and I firmly shook it, still smiling. He let go of my hand and turned around the opposite direction, walking across the street to the other side. I sighed in adoration, sinking slowly back down into my seat. If he was my celebrity crush before…

Close Encounters of the Muggle Kind

With a loud POP, four strangely attired figures appeared out of nowhere in a shadowed alley in Athens, Greece. One, a man, was wearing the odd combination of a frock-coat with jeans. The other adult, a woman, was slightly more presentable in a pretty dress – though it was meant for winter. The last two, a young boy and a preteen girl, were clothed the most appropriately: the boy had on black jeans and a green T-shirt; the girl, a long black skirt with a white top.

The man fiddled with his jeans and muttered a foul word. The little boy – his son – giggled.

"Cadoc Selwyn!" The woman scolded, sounding both amused and exasperated. "Not in front of Megaera and Gwilym."

"It's these blasted Muggle…what-d'you-call-them, 'beans'?" He snapped.

"Jeans, dear," his wife replied mildly.

"Jeans, then! These bloody Muggle trousers don't stay where they should, Artemis! I've a mind to wear proper robes, hang the Ministry. They can Obliviate the whole bloody city if the Muggles get in a flap about it," Cadoc hissed, so as not to draw the attention of passersby.

"Mm. I don't think they'd be so understanding," Artemis remarked in a droll tone. "Meg, love, are you all right? You've scarcely said three words since we left."

The eleven-year-old shrugged and looked toward the ocean. Yes, Mum, I'm fantastic, Meg thought derisively to herself. My last holiday before I go to Hogwarts, and it's only to go see Papou and Yia Yia.

Artemis sighed. "Well, let's get going – I'm sure they can't wait to see you."

Meg didn't succeed in holding back a snort, and her mother gave her a quelling glare.

(Later on)

Later that night, Meg stared hard at her reflection in her grandparents' guest bathroom's mirror. She vigorously swiped at her cheek again, getting rid of the final traces of lipstick. I hate it when they slobber all over me, she thought in irritation.

It was pitch black outside, and she silently tiptoed to the front door. After the commotion of the day, she needed some quiet time by herself. Although her parents had told her back home they didn't mind her going off alone, as long as she remained on their property, she knew they probably didn't mean for her to do so in Greece. Still, she'd go nuts if she didn't get out for a bit.

Making her way to the outer edges of her grandparents' property, she climbed up to brace herself on top of the wall.

Here, she could see the shapes and lights of Muggle buildings in the city. Her grandparents' land also bordered a large Muggle...Hole-tel? She wasn't sure what Muggles called it. All her Yia Yia had said about it was that sometimes certain Muggles on holiday would come and stay there, but not very many at a time. When Meg had asked what sorts of Muggles, Yia Yia had started babbling something confusing about moving stars and the cinnamon. Meg had stopped listening at that point. Muggles were strange.

"Hello," a deep, soft male voice said out of nowhere.

Meg gasped and teetered as her jump of surprise disrupted her precarious position. She nearly toppled off the wall headfirst, but a hand reached up suddenly and steadied her.

She took a moment and caught her breath from the fright. Then she glanced down at her unexpected rescuer. "Er...thanks. I'd have had a hard time explaining to Mum how I managed to fall off a four-foot wide wall." Ohhh, why doesn't Yia Yia have torches out here? I can't even make out his hair colour!

A low chuckle. "You're welcome. Though I do apologise for startling you; it was rather rude of me." He had an English accent like her.

Meg waved dismissively, as she'd seen her father do. She didn't think she quite got the right effect. "It's all right, Mum's always telling me to be more alert when I daydream, since it's the only time I don't pay attention. She'd just say I had it coming."

He laughed again. His voice was incredible! "She must be rather formidable. Are you on holiday here? Your accent sounds as though you live not three shires away from myself, normally."

"Yes, we're visiting my grandparents. We're from Oxfordshire, the only pureblood family for leagues. Where're you from?" Meg asked curiously.

There was a brief pause, as if he was considering something. "I live in London. And, sorry – pureblood?" The silky voice was puzzled.

Meg thought her heart would stop. Bloody Naughty naughty, just wait till I tell Prof. Nahyan!! She exclaimed silently in panic, unconsciously using words her mother would use a Scouring charm on her for. He's a Muggle! Oh, if I just broke the Statute of Secrecy, Dad'll leave me with werewolves.

Tossing her hair in what she hoped was nonchalance, she said in a forcibly casual tone, "Oh, that's just a new word kids use. You know, slang? It means we're the only ones with, er, kids for several leagues." Meg, you stupid Squib, that is the worst explanation in the whole history of explanations. No other kids nearby? In Oxfordshire? Idiot.

Whilst she was berating herself, the Muggle seemed to be thinking it over.

"Ah, I see," he said. He shifted and the moon was in a position where she could finally make out his features. He wasn't an Adonis by any means, but he wasn't ugly, she supposed. Probably this was what her mother meant by 'classically handsome'.

His expression looked like a cross between frustrated and amused. "It's all right if you can't say what you really mean, you know. Just say that, instead of making something up, hm? I'm...skilled in telling when people are lying." Now there was an ironic overtone to his voice.

Meg blinked in surprise. Are all Muggles as clever as he is? I don't see what the fuss is about, if they are. He's not bad at all. "Okay – then, I can't tell you what that word means, really. Family secret." She hoped he couldn't discern levels of truth, because it was a family secret. It just happened to be the wizarding world's secret, too.

"Much better. My name is Alan, what's yours?"

Meg hesitated briefly, wondering if her real name would cause problems. She decided not. "Meg. Are you one of those Mug – I mean, moving stars from that hole-tel my Yia Yia talks about?"

This time, his laughter was loud and boisterous. "I needed that! Yes, you found me out, I'm an actor, or 'moving star' as you put it. Alan Rickman. Not to be arrogant, but I'm surprised you've not heard of me."

His tone wasn't arrogant at all, only pleasantly surprised. Meg quickly deduced that a moving star, or 'actor' as he called it, was someone famous. "Oh, I don't see many actors," she said truthfully.

"That explains it. So, why were you out here by yourself? Weren't you excited to see your grandparents?"

Meg shrugged and frowned. "I suppose. Only, this is my last holiday before I start Hog ¬– my new boarding school, and I wanted to do something special, not get slobbered over by relatives. I see them all the time."

There was a sort of pensive expression on his face now. "Ah. Well, would you mind a different perspective?"

"Er...why not?" She didn't think he could change anything, but it would be interesting to hear what he thought. She'd never spoken with a Muggle before, and he was proving to be an actual intelligent conversant.

"You'll have many holidays throughout your life. But your grandparents won't always be around. And, despite seeing them 'all the time' right now, it will come to the day where you wish you'd had even more. Believe me, I know. Every moment with them is special. The special places in the world, on the hand, will always be waiting for you, in some form or another. Family won't be," he finished quietly, seriously.

Meg found herself softening towards her grandparents as he spoke. She wished now she'd hugged her grandmother back when Yia Yia had greeted her so enthusiastically, instead of rolling her eyes.

"That makes sense," she said grudgingly. But only because her Dad always said it was foolish to not change one's way of thinking when it's proven wrong, since that holds one back from success. "Thanks," she continued, more graciously.

"Not a problem. Well, it was a pleasure meeting you, Meg. Try to be more alert in future – your teachers won't be so understanding if they catch you daydreaming in class." Alan gave her a sly grin.

Meg smirked and laughed. "Don't worry, they won't catch me." She returned the wink.

He walked toward the hole-tel and waved to her over his shoulder.

Meg waved back, and then bolted toward the house.

She wanted to go to sleep so she could wake up early and spend the day with her grandparents.

End.

Me heartie
(Which means “my comrade” in pirate language.)

Deep in my heart I have always known I am a pirate through and through. When no one is looking I used to steal my mother’s sword that always hung above a chest of drawers. Once it went wrong of course and I think she still blames me for it, but that is another story.

The story I am going to tell you today is one about a trip with my favourite actor, which would of course be Johnny Depp. But not just Johnny Depp, Johnny Depp dressed up as a pirate. So I will call him Jack Sparrow in this story.

As I entered the Black Pearl I was not prepared, clothwise. A pair of jeans and a jumper do not really fit in the view of a medieval pirate ship. No, I would need new clothes. Jack Sparrow was so kind to offer those to me, but as I saw what he offered I got a little of a temper. After all I had clearly pointed out I wanted to be one of the pirates, not some damsel in a way too long dress.

Luckily, Sparrow saw the look in my eyes and he offered me a real pirate suit. Which I immediately put on of course. It had a real sword with it (a lot more dangerous than beater’s bats, so a lot more fun too) and it just looked awesome. The smell was less awesome, maybe they could have made that part a bit less realistic, but despite that we could pull in the anchor and set sail.

And there we went. Grabbing a rope tightly in my hand I tried to lean over the rim as far as possible. Of course, it almost went wrong, but just after I fell to be crushed by the ship going through the swirling water there was Jack to catch me. Ok, that sounds very dream-like and all, but one, I swear I don’t fall for such old men, and two it's ever since I was a little girl I have loved the sea. It’s surface reflecting the mood of the sky, blue when the whether was calm and gray when a storm was about to start. Pitch black sometimes even, which meant you had to get away immediately. Some people say the eyes are the mirror of the soul. Then I would call the sea the eyes of the world.

Yes, I enjoyed that day a lot, I had always wanted to be on such a ship. I won’t be surprised if I end up living on a boat. There, my girlish dream of once becoming a pirate came true. It only cost me 100.000 dollars.

I knew I shouldn't have played with that strange object I found on my dorm room. But hey, I'm an inquisitive and curious girl, alright? And I was bored. The object was shaped like a small mirror with ornate carvings along the edges. Runes. And blame me for reading them out loud. Next thing I knew I was sucked into the mirror.

I landed on my behind. Typical. I immediately looked around and realized I was in another school. I checked my pocket and was thankful because the mirror had somehow brought itself with me. As I stood up, I came face to face with someone sitting on the table right beside me, and I immediately fell back to the floor. Oh gosh. I had to be hallucinating.

The person looked over the edge of the table, and my eyes widened as I got another look at him. No way! That's…

"Are you okay?" he asked, and I gulped.

"Um… yes." I was talking to Robert Pattinson! And it wasn't like I had a crush on him or whatever, I preferred Gaspard Ulliel as Edward, thank you very much. Speaking of, could I be on the Twilight set? How on earth did that happen? Hadn't they finished shooting? "Am I on your movie set? Listen, I'm sorry… but I'm not playing on this movie."

He just looked amused. "Yeah, funny. I'm Edward, by the way."

"What? No… you're Robert."

"Who?"

I was so confused. Why was he acting in front of me? This surely wasn't part of the scene! Wait… was this REAL? I looked around and realized there were no cameras. This was bad. But the Twilight world… it couldn't be real, right?

Then I noticed Bella—I mean Kristen—strolling toward us. She noticed that I had taken her place, so she frowned and looked for somewhere else to sit. Uh-oh. I started to feel dread. If this was real, I was so screwing up the storyline.

"You're… very interesting," Edward/Robert eyed me with a twinkle in his golden eyes. No. No way, he could not be interested in me. A lot of rabid Twilight fangirls would be very, very angry.

I was so doomed.

***

"So you're not really from Forks?" Edward/Robert asked me an hour later, after I finally was certain this was somehow the real world, and that Robert really believed he was Edward. And for some bizarre reason he'd totally started hitting on me instead of Bella/Kristen.

"No. And I need to get back home," I sighed, twirling the mirror in my hands. I'd tried reading the runes out loud again but nothing happened.

"Well, as much as I like you around… you seem like you really want to go back. Let me help. You said this mirror brought you here? Is there no other inscription on it?"

"None that I can see."

He took it from my hands and turned it over. "What about this, on the back?"

I gasped. "Oh! I'd completely missed that! But maybe that's it!"

"Well, you want to give it a try?"

I glanced at the runes, and then back at him. My journey had been short but sweet… if I managed to set things right again at least.

"Listen, if this works… and I disappear forever, you should really try getting to know Bella. You know? Give her a chance."

"I don't know why you're so persistent on this matchmaking, but okay," he grinned. "I'm going to miss you, however short I've known you."

I smiled, knowing if other girls were in my position they probably wouldn't have wanted to go home at all. But me? I was logical, responsible me who refused to get stranded forever in a dreamy world where Edward Cullen apparently likes me. I took a deep breath and read the runes. The mirror started to glow, and I could see my dorm room on its reflection. I was going home.

"Goodbye, Edward," I said to him before I completely vanished.

My roommate found me just when I rematerialized. "There you are! We're supposed to have a midnight Halloween movie marathon, remember? Where have you been?"

I hid a smile. "You'll never guess."

"Ah, what a sunny morning!" I said as I woke up and saw the sun shining up in the sky.

I did the daily morning stuff - bathroom, change clothes, etc. when I heard an owl scratch on the window of the dormitory. I opened the window and let it in.

I saw it was wearing a letter, which was probably for me, because it flied around me and pecked my, not the two of my dorm buddies. It was getting annoying, so I gave it 5 sickles although I didn't want to, since I had problems with money lately. But then I realized that it was worth - the letter was actually an announcement telling me I had won a trip with Orlando Bloom! I was going to spend a woke day with "Legolas"! I nearly fainted.

Suddenly I got worried about leaving the school, even though it was weekend, but I knew that with some muffins and work I'll make it out. I had luck my nest prefects, Rosa and Aylarah, were easy to bribe, so I got away with 10 muffins and do them 2 assignments.

I got home in several hours, and couldn't wait for tomorrow, I didn't even sleep all night, just thought about where should we go, what should we visit, what should we do.

The next day started great, the sun was still smiling, the wind flying and refreshing people around. Anxiously, I changed my clothes and just took a small piece of bread with butter and jam as breakfast. As I traveled with the bus to the nearby "Gripey Park" where we were suppose to meet, I thought "Is someone making fool of me? Am I dreaming? Is this real?" There was only one way to found out...

It was real! I couldn't believe it! I think I was gonna get a heart attack because of the excitement. I knew the first step always leaves the biggest impression, so I tried not to look as "Oh My God!!! I'm Your biggest fan!!", but instead went there and said Hi, and told him who I were.

He was nice actually, not spoiled as I expect most celebrities to be.

We went to a nearby coffee pub to get to know each other a bit, and decide how are we going to spend the day.

I was surprised when he told me that when young he liked arts, pottery, sculpturing, photography and literature. I enjoyed in those things too!

But when he gave the idea of we to do mountain climbing, I was like hit with a stone in my head. How can two people have so much in common, but are still so different?!?!That, mountain climbing, was surely something I loved. I gladly accepted.

It took us 6 hours to get up and down on our nearby mountain, but I had so much fun I thought it was a whole year. We joked, laughed, talked about experiences we have had, and by every minute I was more amused at the how I had so much in common with him.

Since it was late, we decided to have dinner in my aunt's restaurant, and then head home.

But the biggest surprise came later, when he said he would love to have me as his friend, and we exchanged phone numbers, and he promised that even though he's very busy, he will find some free time to meet me again and go on another trip. And as a triumph, he agreed on giving me an autograph on the book I just finished writing!

I was very happy when I went home. Too much happy! I think that's why the other day, when I was already back in Hogwarts, didn't pass well. I mean, getting two detentions with Professor Miette Bynny isn't good, right?

A few years back one of my best friends and I heard about a new movie that was shooting about half an hour from where we lived at a local beach boardwalk. The only thing we knew about the movie was it was about vampires and that two of our favorite actors at the time were going to be involved in it. We decided to get up early one morning and see if we could get to be part of the movie someway, shape, or form. We couldn’t keep from being excited as we drove over the mountain to the beach. We figured parking was going to be outrageous and we were correct. Though we finally found a spot and walked towards the large crowd of people. When we arrived people in the crowds were screaming with excitement. We asked someone else standing there what was going on. They answered stating the movie company needed a lot of “extras” for the movie and that anyone who wanted to be a part of it could be and enter onto the boardwalk for free. My friend and I of course wanted to stay and hoped for a glimpse of our stars.

As the crowd began to move towards the entry way, my friend and I were looking every which way for our celebrities. Seeing nothing we decided to just scope out the boardwalk and ride a few rides to pass the time. We first rode the Pirate Ship, and then went to the Haunted House. Next we went to wait in line for the Giant Dipper, which is the roller coaster they have. As we’re waiting there were two fellows behind us with sunglasses, jackets, and hats on. My friend and I looked suspiciously at them, and whispered about how odd they looked.

When we were almost to the front of the line, the two guys began asking each other where they wanted to sit on the coaster. Then they asked us what we recommended. Looking a bit shocked my friend and I suggested to them the front of the coaster was always the most fun in our opinion. They then said they were new to the area and asked if we would show them around. We were a bit hesitant as my friend and I were really wanted to find out actors, but we agreed to anyways, just to meet new people. After the coaster the four of us had so much fun on the bumper cars.

From then on for the entire day we rode every ride at the park together. We even walked on the beach together and all talked about our different ventures in life. It was getting darker and it still seemed odd to my friend and I that the guys were still wearing their sunglasses. We asked if they could still see with them on and they both just smiled and said yes. Since it was getting late we decided on one more ride; which was going to be the Ferris Wheel. It was extremely pretty at night to be so high and see the tide from the ocean coming in.

Each guy asked if they could ride separately with my friend and me. We agreed, as really what could happen? So we board the compartment and there we are just sitting waiting for others to board as well. In the meantime he starts talking about much he has had today and it had been awhile since he was able to just be himself and not have to be what others thought he should be. I began to get a bit considered and questioned him as to what he was talking about. Right when we get to the top of the Ferris wheel, he takes off his hat and sunglasses and there sat my favorite actor, Kiefer Sutherland. I could feel my mouth drop open as I sat there shocked. He just kept talking about how he was filming the movie and his shots were more night shots, being a vampire and all. He had been hoping to just explore the boardwalk today and how it was nice to meet someone that didn’t expect anything from him as a celebrity. I remember nodding and swearing I wouldn’t tell anyone so he wouldn’t get mobbed and as the ride came to an end he kissed my cheek and helped me out and said he didn’t to go.

I stood waiting for my friend to get off of her cart and she too stood shocked and bewildered, so I know she had shared a similar experience. We rode home in socked silence and it took us a few days to really start talking about it, almost afraid it wouldn’t be real. Looking back now I don’t know how we didn’t realize who we were with, but what an amazing day that was. One neither of us will ever forget.

The Prince and the Potions
Once upon a time I was invite to a potions convention by my romantic infatuation mentor the darkest wizard I know, Professor Snape. I quickly fainted on the spot RSVP’ed by owl and packed everything I would need and tied it to my broom. I insisted the Professor visit the dorms, so I could introduce him to my roommate Lucy. I knew she would never believe my story if she didn’t witness it first hand.

One of the new first years brought the professor into the common room, where I was hoping to find Lucy. She was nowhere to be found, and was probably off “mooning” over her own Professor Lupin. Oh well, I had my digital camera, and posed with the professor in front of the Fat Lady’s portrait, which he tried to get out of, but I distracted him by offering a glimpse of a rare species of toadstool.

The convention was amazing. Some of the biggest cauldrons I had ever seen were brewing newly discovered elixirs, teas, potions and tinctures. There were booths filled with ancient recipes, antique mortar and pestle sets, and some of the rarest ingredients known to the wizarding world. There were also several forms of entertainment to be enjoyed. Several witches were offering palm reading, divination, and tarot readings. The wizard rock band “Hawthorn and Holly” were getting ready to take stage and add even more ambiance to the already perfect setting.

Seriously, I was surrounded by my favorite things and the great professor had invited me along himself! I strolled from booth to booth exchanging tips and knowledge with my greasy haired crush and we even shared a magical lunch. Magical because it was enchanted chow-mein, although the experience was magical as well. I snapped pictures of the professor and me, every chance I got. He didn’t seem to mind, though he never smiled, which I find even more swoon worthy.

After hours spent strolling about the convention center, it was time to head back to school. I couldn’t miss my classes the next day, as I had an important test on Divination that I couldn’t miss. Despite the argument from Professor Snape that Divination was for chumps, I decided I’d better call it a day before he turned into a pumpkin and I found all I had experienced wasn’t real.

He walked me to the gate of HOL and I waited for a kiss on the cheek, so I closed my eyes and puckered up. Then SPLASH! I was hit by a wall of water. When I opened my eyes, there stood Lucy with a bucket in her hand and an annoyed expression on her face. It seems I had fallen asleep reading my potions homework, and was distracting her with all my sleep talking. I remembered I still had proof on my camera! I showed her the evidence and she simply stated “it is easy for anyone to photo shop someone into a picture. I know she’ll never believe me, but I am sure the convention, professor and enchanted chow-mein were real. Those that know me are aware of my acute lack of graphic skills. Spooky isn’t it?

It was a dark and stormy Halloween night. "I LOVE rain on Halloween. Just a great atmosphere improver." Zuvi said with a smile. Suddenly, there was a loud crash sound. "What was that?!?" Zuvi asked and ran to the nearest French window. Zuvi's eyes befell a horrible car accident where a car had ended up around a tree. "Ouch!" Zuvi said and ran to the door. She threw the door opened and ran to the car. "Hello! Are you alright in there?!?" Zuvi yelled as she approached the car. Zuvi was able to open the passenger side door and pull the man inside from the car. Zuvi took the limp form and carried him into her house. Zuvi put the form on the couch and ran to get some ice and blankets.

When Zuvi returned to the couch, she realized that the form on her couch was not just anybody, it was Johnny Depp! Her favorite muggle actor of all time. What do I do?!? Zuvi frantically thought. Before she had time to think, she heard a groan coming from the couch. Zuvi walked over to his side.

"W-wh-where am I?" Johnny asked. “

"In a friend's house I assure you." Zuvi replied. Johnny looked up.

"Who are you? Better yet, who am I?" He asked with a confused look on his face. “

"You mean you don't know." Zuvi inquired. Johnny Depp shook his head.

I shouldn't do it. It's not right. What will people think of me? Who cares?!? Zuvi turned her attention to the muggle. "Why, you are the famous Sweeney Todd and this is Fleet Street and we have a date tonight. "Johnny Depp looked over at Zuvi.

"Oh, I'm so sorry. I don't know what came over me."

Zuvi replied, "no worries. I'm almost ready. I'll return momentarily."”

Zuvi ran up the stairs and couldn't stop the smile spreading over her face. I can't believe it! Johnny Depp is in my house! Not only that, he believes he is Sweeney Todd! This is going to be the best Halloween ever! Zuvi opened the door to her room and closed it quickly behind her. I have to hurry before he realizes who he is. Zuvi changed into her Miss. Lovett costume and ran down the stairs quickly. "I'm back," she replied. “

"Wow, you look stunning, "Johnny replied. "Shall we?" He asked lending out his arm. Zuvi blushed. Score! Zuvi put her arm around his and they walked out the door.

"So, what are the plans for this evening?" Johnny asked. “

"Well, my best friend is having a party so we were going to enjoy the company." Zuvi replied.

"I can't wait!" Johnny replied. Zuvi and Johnny got into the car and Zuvi drove to Zee's house. The party was in full swing when they arrived. Johnny got out and opened the door for Zuvi.

"Why thank you," she responded. “

"My pleasure." They handed arm in arm to the door. Zuvi knocked three times. Zee ran to the door wearing her sparkling vampire outfit.

"Zuvi! And..."she started. “

"Yes, and Sweeney Todd! It's it great Zee." Zuvi finished quickly. Zee nodded her head and smiled. “

"Come in," she said and glanced waywardly to the hall. Zuvi and Johnny entered. Zuvi looked over at Zee, "I'll explain tomorrow,"” she whispered. “

"You better." Zee replied.

Zuvi, Zee, and Johnny entered the party. "Would you like something to eat or drink dear?" Johnny asked. "That would be lovely." Zuvi replied. Zuvi and Johnny walked over to the table and Johnny's eye lit up. "What is all this?" Johnny asked surprised.

"They are just some sweet little treats. Zee just got back from a trip to Romania and this was from the journey." Zuvi replied and hoped it was enough. Johnny picked up a chocolate frog and chomped down. “

"This is delicious, " he replied. Johnny looked out at the party and noticed there were a lot of things out of place. "Things seem a little strange here," Johnny said. “

"Yes, it seems a little magical doesn't it?" Zuvi said; Johnny smiled in replied and asked for the first dance. What happened after that, well I’ll never tell but it was very magical.
